The students of this department were consistently achieving good results in University system. The trend continued in Autonomous status. The average result of our department is about 89% in autonomous system. In the year 2007-08 Rakesh Pimprikar of our department was No. 1 Ranker all over India in GATE 2008. Academic audit of the department is conducted regularly by the IIT/NIT faculty.
