Continuing Engineering Programmes

The department conducts regularly faculty and staff development programs under the AICTE/ISTE/TEQIP schemes for the benefit of faculty members of various engineering colleges. Experts from IIT/NIT/R&D Labs/industry are regularly contributing to these courses. The aim of conducting these course is to update the knowledge of all the concerned in the advanced technological area. This is helping us in developing good interaction with industry and research and development laboratories of national repute. 4. Dr. D. D. Doye, Dr. M.B. Kokare, AICTE sponsored two weeks Induction programme on “New Concepts, Methods and Advanced Techniques in Speech Processing, Image Processing and Pattern Recognition” under the Scheme of Staff Development Programme, 15 – 26 May 2006 (25 participants)
5. Dr. M. B. Kokare, Two Day’s Workshop on “Intellectual Property Right” under Technical Education Quality Improvement Program at Shri Guru Gobind Singhji Institute of Engineering and Technology, Vishnupuri, Nanded, during 13-14th Aug 2006.

Talbar, coordinated (Four days) Intensive STTP on “Fundamentals of FPGA and DSP Design Flow”, for M.Tech(Extc) students and Faculty members in association with experts from CGCorEl Progamming Solutions Pvt.LTd. Banglore, (Sandeepani School of VLSI Design) at SGGSIET Nanded, 18 -21 February 2008
7. Dr. S. N. Talbar coordinated Three days workshop on “ARM Processor and Embedded Programming” for M.Tech Students and Faculty members in association with expert from SPJ Systems, Pune (February 2007)
8. Dr. S. N. Talbar coordinated Three days workshop on “TI MSP430 Processor, Interfacing and Programming” for M.Tech Students and Faculty members in association with expert from Gill Instruments, Banglore (December 2006).
9. Dr. S. N. Talbar coordinated One day workshop on “DSP Tools and Programming” with expert Mr. Sachin Ghayal, from Tata Elexi, Pune for M.Tech and Faculty members (September 2006).
10. Prof. A. N. Kamthane coordinated Three days workshop on “Mind Mentality Management for supporting staff” in association with experts from SGGMCOE, Shegaon, (Budhana) (15th -17th Nov.2007).
11. Prof. A. N. Kamthane coordinated Two weeks “Induction Training Program on Teaching Learning Strategies” at SGGSIET, Nanded in association of experts from NTTIR, Bhopal (25/3/07-27/3/2007) (30 Faculty).
12. Prof. A. N. Kamthane and Dr. S. N. Talbar coordinated FDP “Teaching Strategies” at SGGSIET, Nanded in association of experts from NTTIR, Bhopal (21st -23rd July 2007) (25 Faculty).
13. Prof. A. N. Kamthane coordinated Two days workshop on “8051 Processor, Interfacing and Programming” in association with Ambekar Associates, Aurngabad at S.G.G.S.IE &T, Nanded (6th to 7th May, 2007).
14. Prof. A. N. Kamthane coordinated Two weeks “Staff Development Program” at SGGSIET, Nanded in association of experts from NTTIR, Bhopal (19/11/07-1/12/2207) (25 Faculty).
15. Dr. S. N. Talbar, One week Workshop on “8051 Microcontroller and Embedded Programming”, for students and Faculty members, (50 students and 6 faculty) August 2008.

In addition to above list the faculty members of this department have extensively lectured in the short term courses for faculty development conducted at various institutes in the state as well as nearby states.
