The students of this department were consistently achieving good results in University system. The trend continued in Autonomous status. The average result of our department is about 80% in autonomous system. In the year 2005-06 Rohit Singewar of our department was University gold medalist. This feat was repeated in 2006-07 by Anandi Iyer. In the first batch of B. Tech. from our institute the Institute gold medalist is our student Sushil Kathade. Academic audit of the department is conducted regularly by the IIT/NIT faculty. The results for last six years are shown below (in percent).
