The department is a recognized research centre by Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University (SRTMU), Nanded. We have 8 faculty members with Ph.D. qualification and 6 are recognized Ph.D. guides by SRTMU, Nanded.

The department has been in the fore-front for research activities in Quality Engineering, Sheet Metal Forming, Non Conventional Manufacturing Processes, CAD/CAM, CAE, Production Management, Optimization, etc.

It has produced 21 doctorates so far and presently about 23 candidates are registered for Ph.D. programme. The faculty members have made a mark at the national and international level through their published research work. They have more than 84 papers in National and International Journals (including IEE/IEEE/PRL), about 237 papers in National and International conferences and one e-book on Thermal Engineering.

Research recognition:

Research forms an integral part of the activities of faculty members. The publications of faculty and students, research projects bagged and the laboratory facilities are some of the indicators of the research culture in the department. Six faculty members are recognized Ph. D. Guides under S. R. T. M. university (affiliating university) and others. Most of the faculty members are working as reviewers for reputed journals.
