ABOUT THE
SYMPOSIUM |
|
|
This National Symposium on Composite Materials is being
organized as a part of Silver Jubilee Celebration of the
institute SGGSIE&T, Nanded. The Symposium is planned
with an objective to explore new horizons in the broad
area of Composite Materials with special focus on
manufacturing techniques and applications in different
fields. Exposure to recent developments, dialog/
interaction with eminent professionals shall be the key
ingredients. The symposium will provide a platform for
technocrats to explore new ideas and novel applications.
Expected outcome of the symposium is to encourage
industry-academia interactions and promote collaborative
research and development in the interdisciplinary fields
of composite materials.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZER |
|
|
Shri Guru Gobind Singhji (SGGS) Institute of Engineering
& Technology, situated in the holy city of Huzur Sahib
Nanded on the bank of the holy river Godavari, was
established in the year 1981. The insitute has 46 acres
of premises, which was donated by Sant Baba Harnam Singh
Langar Sahib Gurudwara Trust, Nanded. The Institute is
functioning on the path paved by the eminent Board of
Governors under the chairmanship of Mr. B.N.Kalyani, one
of the foremost industrialists, (“Padma Bushan” awarded
by Govt. of India as well as Chairman and MD, Bharat
Forge Ltd.). The Governing Board also consists of
dynamic personalities from industry and academia as
members. The Institute offers eight (08) UG, five (05)
PG and Research Programmes in an environment conducive
for continuous learning and development. The courses are
affiliated to Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathawada
University, Nanded and have been accredited by National
Board of Accreditation, New Delhi.
Textile Technology Department offers an UG programme in
Textile Technology (intake of 30) and Research Programme
leading to Ph. D. Most of the faculty has completed Ph.
D. from IITs. Well established laboratories and skilled
staff are special features of the department. The
department craves for tie-up with premier institutes and
industries. The students of the department have excelled
in almost all types industry as well as in the
administrative sector. A number of alumni have
established themselves as successful entrepreneurs. |
