Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the appointment(s) to the following teaching post(s) sanctioned by Government of Maharashtra for UG (B.Tech.) course(s) run by this institute (Please mention the advertisement number mentioned above while applying, without which the application will be considered invalid):
 

N.B.: (i) As per the resolutions of Government of Maharashtra, 03% reservation for Physically
               Handicapped and 30% reservation for ladies will be applicable.

        (ii) This advertisement shall be treated complete including Appendices A, B, and C (links given below).

1) RESERVATION OF POSTS:

(i) The posts reserved for backward category will be filled in by the candidates who are domicile of Maharashtra State only.

(ii) The reservation for lady candidates will be as per rules.

(iii) The posts reserved for candidates belonging to VJ, NT-1, NT-2 and NT-3 are mutually interchangeable in case of non-availability of candidate(s) of the mentioned category

2) QUALIFICATION

The candidates applying for the posts should have the following educational qualifications and experience as specified in G.R. No.: Sewapra 2007/(10/07)/TE-6, dated 1^st March 2008 of Higher and Technical Education Department, Government of Maharashtra, Mumbai.

i) Masters Degree preceded by Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant branch as mentioned in Appendix B with first class at both the levels and consistently good academic record in the previous years.
 

i) Ph. D. Degree in the concerned engineering / technology discipline / subject.

ii) Teaching / Research / Industrial experience in the relevant discipline.

iii) Publications record in refereed scientific / professional journals.
 

NOTE:   THE CANDIDATES WHO SATISFY THE EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA AS SPECIFIED IN A.I.C.T.E. NORMS (APPENDIX-C ENCLOSED) FOR THE POSTS OF LECTURER CAN ALSO APPLY.

3) ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATION
 

     Passing Certificate for any one of the ‘C.C.A’ or ‘O’ level or ‘A’ level or ‘B’ level or ‘C’ level
     authorized examination of D.O.E.A.C.C., Society, New Delhi.
                                     OR
     Passing Certificate of MS-CIT Examination of Maharashtra State Technical Education Board, Mumbai-400 001.

     Above additional qualification is not necessary for the candidates having Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in
     Computer Engineering, Computer Technology, Information Technology and Computer Application.
 

4) SALARY
 

     Salary as per Government of Maharashtra rules in the Rs. 8000–275–13500 pay scale plus other admissible
     allowances.

     Pay protection for deserving candidates can be considered.

5) AGE

     Unless already in the service of Government / Government Aided Organization or Establishment, not more than 35 years  as on last date of application with relaxation of 5 years for reserved category candidates.

6) IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

i) The institute reserves the right to vary the number of posts and reserved posts.

ii) Selected candidates shall be on probation for a period of two years.

iii) These posts are pensionable as per Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra, Mumbai, G. R. No. CPS-1005/126/SER-4, dated 31st October 2005, Circular No. CPS-1006/87/SER-4, dated 12th January 2007, Circular No. CPS-1009/13/ser 4, dated 24^th February 2009 and Circular No. CPS-1009/32/ser 4, dated 16^th July 2009.

iv) Each application submitted should be accompanied by a Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- for the candidates belonging to Open Category and Rs. 300/- for the candidates belonging to Reserved Category, drawn in favour of “Director, SGGSIE&T, Nanded” payable at Nanded.

v) The candidates who want to apply for more than one post should submit separate applications as well as separate demand drafts.

vi) The interview call letters will be posted to the eligible candidates however details regarding Schedule of Interview will be displayed on the website of this institute.

vii) The academic qualification and experience acquired up to last date of submission of application will be taken into account in determining the eligibility of candidates for the posts and for short-listing them for the interview.

viii) Application must be accompanied by passport size photograph of the candidate along with relevant documents indicating qualification, age, category, experience, etc. and demand draft; failing which the application will be treated as incomplete and will be liable to be summarily rejected.

ix) Last date for submission of application form is 30th September, 2009. Applications received after last date due to any reason including postal delay will not be entertained and responsibility in this regard will solely rest with the concerned candidate. Applications received on Internet / Fax will NOT be considered.

x) Candidates must produce all original certificates at the time of interview. No extension of time will be granted.

xi) No TA/DA will be paid to the candidate for interview.

xii) Specimen Application Form is available along with this notification as Appendix A. Interested candidates can download it. Candidates are advised to strictly adhere to the format of Specimen Application Form.

xiii) The envelope containing the filled application form should bear a clear title as “Application for the post of   Lecturer in Information Technology (UG)”.

xiv) The candidates belonging to Backward Class Category must submit the attested copies of necessary documents along with their applications.
